Regional Safe Schools Program
The Regional Safe School Programs are designed to provide educational opportunities for general education students who are in danger of being expelled, have received multiple suspensions, been truant, or are in some way disconnected from the educational process. MORE
Project TAPESTRY & SENIORS PLUS
Project TAPESTRY is a federally funded program designed to increase graduation rates by providing supports to students who may have academic, social or behavioral concerns. MORE
Illinois School Code recognizes that in order to achieve high standards, some students will need educational supports and other support services that are not currently provided by their regular school programs. In order to address these needs, Alternative Learning Opportunities Programs (ALOPs) were created. MORE
Truancy Support Services
The underlying causes that contribute to excessive absenteeism and truancy can be complex and frustrating for students, parents, education staff and school administrators. To assist schools in supporting the truancy laws and helping students and their families to make good attendance a priority, West 40 ISC #2 has provided guidelines for understanding attendance requirements and for making appropriate referrals when students’ attendance warrants our attention and support.
